Mr. Wade Smith
Mr. Wade Smith is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University. He is in his 15th year of teaching at Bracken County High School. He graduated form Northern Kentucky University in 2000 with a bachelor degree in teaching with a emphasis in Health/Physical Education. He went on to get his masters degree from Nova Southeastern University in curriculum and instruction. He has coached football and boys basketball in the past at BCHS and is now in his 9th year as the Head Volleyball coach at BCHS. He is married (Danielle) and has a 17 month old daughter (Ellie).When he's not spending time with his family he is watching, playing, or coaching a sport.

Health and Safety- An overview of the main components of Health and Safety. This class focuses on the major components of health, the nutritional requirements to maintain a healthy lifestyle, the proper way to exercise, how to prevent violence, CPR and First Aide, and the effects of alcohol and tobacco. The students will learn about these areas through various activities using critical thinking skills and expression.
Physical Education- This is a beginning level course in physical education. In this course the student will take a look at the history of many different sports & how to play the different sport/activity.The students will practice and analyze the various skills involved in the sport or activity. You will be required to run and lift weights in this class. We will also be doing the couch to 5k. You will be expected to keep a written record of your workout throughout the semester. Conditioning- Students will be required to do the same thing as in P.E. but on a more advanced level |
December 16 – 1st Semester Exams (Students will not go to 3rd and 5th)
